Spend the Holidays with Good Booze: Gin Recipes to Try

For many of us, the holidays are just around the corner. We're all busy with family and friends spending time together and making sure everything is running smoothly.

When the holidays roll around, you might find yourself wanting a crisp, boozy drink to sip while stuffing down some last-minute holiday goodies. Check out some of these gin recipes you can try for that merry vibe:

Cranberry and Pine

One of the best things about gin is that it works well with fruits. What better way to add fruits to your booze but during the holidays, right? So, give it a shot and be merry.

Add some cranberry and pine to your gin! Make sure you use unsweetened and 100% cranberry juice for that much-needed acidity to cocktails. Then add some honey and orange bitters to achieve the perfect balance.

  1. Add ice in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add an ounce and a half of gin, an ounce and half of the cranberry juice, a quarter-ounce of fresh lemon juice and an ounce of honey syrup.
  3. Stir until everything’s mixed and dissolved.
  4. Add orange bitters.
  5. Shake until chilled.
  6. Strain into a glass.
  7. Add some thin lemon slices and cranberries.

Mandarin Gimlet

Do you like mandarins? You’re in luck—they’re amazing in gin! These citrus fruits can be the star ingredient of your cocktail.

  1. Cut the mandarins in half and squeeze the juices out.
  2. Add gin and sugar.

Isn’t that easy? With this, you can satisfy your cravings.

Christmas Tree Martini

Are you looking for a drink that overflows with so much character? Then this drink is for you.

Start off with a gin martini and add some winter ingredients for that spice. Combine an ounce and a half of gin, some vermouth and simple syrup. Add some Angostura bitters and stir until well-chilled. You can add rosemary for garnish.

Orange Russian

If you want some coffee liqueur, then this drink is for you. All you need is to combine coffee liqueur, cream, triple sec and gin for that smooth and sweet tipple for the holidays.

Gingerbread Espresso Martini

Another great recipe for the coffee lovers out there, the Gingerbread espresso martini, might be up your alley. You only need gin, real cream and use gingerbread syrup, and you’re good to go!

Rosemary Grapefruit Martini

Thinking of mixing something a bit sweeter and pink? The rosemary grapefruit martini is an excellent choice for the holidays. You only need your gin of choice, fresh grapefruit juice, and simple syrup.

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice; shake until well-chilled and double strain it into a martini glass. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary, and you’re ready to enjoy the holidays!
