My number ONE favourite G&T. This is the first G&T we made when we distilled our first ever batch of MERCATO Mediterranean Gin back in the summer of 2018. Herbaceous rosemary and zesty orange make this my absolute favourite, number one G&T out of them all!
Mediterranean Gin and Tonic with Rosemary and Orange
Herbaceous and Zesty Gin & Tonic
Gin and Tonic with Rosemary and Gin and Tonic with Orange are two pairings very much in vogue right now. So, we combined the best of both worlds and put together a G&T with both Rosemary and Orange! Our Mediterranean-inspired take on this drink sees us use our herbaceous and zesty Mediterranean Gin which actually uses fresh rosemary and citrus fruit peels in the distillation process, paired with a clean and crisp Indian tonic, followed by two garnishes which perfectly compliment each other; a sprig of fresh rosemary and a slice of juicy orange.
50ml MERCATO Mediterranean Gin
150-200ml premium Indian tonic (we like Fever Tree and Double Dutch)
Plenty of cubed ice
YOU ALSO NEED
Grab a large copa (aka balloon) glass...
Try to ensure your glass is pre-chilled and not warm. To do this, you can fill it with some ice and swirl it round for 15 secs and then discard this ice. However, if you don't have that much ice to mess around with, swill your glass under some very cold water. Just make sure that glass is nice and cold somehow yeah!...
Now the good stuff, add 50ml (i.e. a double shot) of your MERCATO Mediterranean Gin...
Add plenty of cubed ice. IMPORTANT: ice that bad boy all the way to the top to reduce dilution and a watery cocktail...
Slice your orange into a wedge or slice and place into your glass (you could also just use the orange peel if you like)
Take a nice long sprig of fresh rosemary and delicately place into your glass (half in the glass and half poking out of the top)
